Why would I put my code on a wall?

What if most of my commits are in private repositories?

Accepted Answer

Your atlas is generated from the contribution data visible on your public GitHub profile. To include private contributions, go to your GitHub profile, click "Contribution settings" next to your contribution graph, and enable "Private contributions". This changes only the count displayed on your profile - your code and repositories remain completely private. You can enable it just long enough for us to fetch your data, then turn it off again.

Can I buy this as a gift for a developer?

You can. All you need is their GitHub username. Enter it on the chart page, choose a layout and theme, and place the order. We ship to most countries globally with tracked delivery.

How is this different from a screenshot of my GitHub profile?

Accepted Answer

A GitHub profile shows a flat grid of green squares for the past year. We transform your entire contribution history - every year you have been coding - into a star atlas rendered in the visual language of celestial cartography. Four astronomical layouts. Period-appropriate Latin typography. A magnitude legend. Coordinate markings. Each day becomes a star whose size and brightness reflect your activity. The result is printed at 300 DPI on 200gsm archival matte art paper using the giclée process galleries use, and can arrive framed in solid wood, ready to hang. Do you support organisations and teams?

Yes. Enter any public GitHub organisation name and we aggregate all repository activity across the org into a single atlas. For team orders, custom prints, or volume pricing, visit the Teams page or email support@codexstellarum.com.

Where do you ship to?

Accepted Answer

Most countries globally. Your print is produced at the fulfilment centre closest to your shipping address, reducing delivery times and carbon emissions. Orders are typically dispatched within 2-5 business days. Delivery is then 2-4 business days for UK orders and 4-10 business days for international orders.

What if I am not happy with my print?
