Codex Stellarum generates visual representations of GitHub contribution data in the style of vintage star atlases. Users can preview their atlas for free and purchase museum-quality fine art prints.

The atlas is generated from publicly available GitHub data. We do not guarantee the accuracy or completeness of the contribution data displayed. GitHub may change their API or data availability at any time.

When you click "Order as Print", you are redirected to Stripe's secure checkout to complete payment. All prices are shown in GBP and include the cost of the print. Shipping costs may vary by destination and are shown during checkout.

Once payment is confirmed, your order is sent to our print partner (Prodigi) for production and fulfilment. Orders are typically dispatched within 2–5 business days. Delivery times vary by destination and are typically 2–4 business days for UK orders and 4–10 business days for international orders.

We reserve the right to cancel and refund any order that we are unable to fulfil, for any reason. In such cases, you will receive a full refund.

Our prints are produced by Prodigi, a Fine Art Trade Guild approved printer, on 200gsm enhanced matte art paper using archival Giclée inks. Unframed prints are shipped rolled in protective cardboard tubes or flat in rigid envelopes, depending on size and destination. Framed prints arrive assembled and ready to hang: the print is fitted in a solid wood Classic frame behind acrylic glazing, with no mount, and shipped in a rigid corrugated box. The frame's lip covers about 5 mm of each edge of the print, which our designs allow for.

Colours may vary slightly between your screen preview and the printed product due to differences in display calibration and printing processes. This is normal for fine art printing and is not considered a defect.

The Codex Stellarum name, logo, visual design, and rendering algorithms are our intellectual property. The atlas designs are generated from your publicly available GitHub data.

By purchasing a print, you receive a physical print for personal use. You may not reproduce, resell, or commercially distribute the print design. You may share photos of your print on social media - we encourage it.

We do not claim ownership of your GitHub data. The contribution data belongs to you and is publicly accessible via GitHub's API.

Codex Stellarum is provided "as is". We do our best to ensure the site works correctly and orders are fulfilled promptly, but we cannot guarantee uninterrupted service.

We are not liable for: delays caused by our print or shipping partners, GitHub API changes or outages, colour variations between screen and print, or indirect or consequential damages arising from use of the service.

Our total liability for any claim arising from an order is limited to the amount you paid for that order.

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the site after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
